Baked Chicken Thighs
Report
Ranch seasoned Baked Chicken Thighs are tender and juicy inside, with perfectly crispy skins outside. This easy low carb chicken only takes 5 minutes to prep, with just 3 ingredients!

Ingredients
- 1 ½ pounds of chicken thighs bone in and skin on
- 1 ½ tablespoons homemade ranch seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Trim any excess fat or skin off of your chicken, then dry all sides using paper towels.
- Rub the olive oil all over each piece of chicken, then sprinkle the ranch seasoning on the top and bottom, making sure all sides are well covered.
- Place the chicken in a 9 x 9 casserole baking dish that’s been brushed or sprayed with olive oil.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches at least 165°F when checked with a meat thermometer. Cooking times will depend on the size of your chicken thighs. Smaller pieces could be ready close to 30 minutes, while larger ones at about the 40 minute mark. This is why it’s important to use a meat thermometer, this way there is no guesswork and your chicken will be cooked perfectly.
- Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes before cutting into and serving.
- Store leftover chicken in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze.
Notes
- If you don't have the Homemade Ranch Seasoning on hand, you can certainly use store bought instead. I would use about 1 tablespoon total, since the store bought version tends to be on the saltier side.
