Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 whole chicken (5.25 pounds)
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon parsley (you can use other herbs)

Instructions

  1. In a container, add 1 tablespoon of salt, 2 teaspoons of garlic powder and 1 teaspoon of parsley. Then, mix it well. (You can use other herbs if you want).
  2. Rub the seasoning on the chicken and inside. The best to let it marinate overnight. If not, at least a few hours before baking.
  3. Preheat the oven for 425F. Then, put foil on the cookie sheet and the stand on the cookie sheet.
  4. After that, put the whole chicken on the stand and up straight.
  5. The chicken in this recipe is 5.25 pounds. Therefore, I start baking the chicken for around 50 minutes first until the chicken internal temperature reaches 165F and the skin is golden brown. I did it in around 52-55 minutes.

Notes

  • The best to marinate the chicken overnight. If not, at least a few hours before baking.
  • Use a cake mold stand to put up the chicken and bake it, so the chicken will be very moist and tender.
  • You can always add more and different seasonings or herbs.
  • I baked at 425 F and the time depends on how big the chicken is.
  • Baking time is crucial for a tender and juicy chicken. I roughly estimate the time depending on how big the chicken is. I do 10 minutes per pound, then add more minutes until it's internal temperature reaches 165F. For example, in this recipe the chicken is 5.25 pounds. I baked for around 52-55 minutes.
