Ingredients
- 250 g pasta Ziti
- 400 g tomato sauce Canned
- 250 g ricotta cheese
- 150 g mozzarella cheese Shredded
- 50 g Parmesan Cheese Grated
- 1 tsp oregano Dried
- 1 tsp basil Dried
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- salt and black pepper To Taste
- basil leaves Fresh, garnish, optional
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Cook the ziti pasta according to the package instructions until it's al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella cheese, half of the Parmesan cheese, dried oregano, dried basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ziti pasta and tomato sauce. Mix well.
- Add the cheese mixture to the pasta and sauce mixture. Stir until everything is well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminium foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired.
