Ingredients
- 2 Tbs oil
- 2 pounds hamburger
- 1 /2 cup onion chopped
- 1 /2 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 1 /2 teaspoons salt
- 1 /2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1 /3 cup flour
- 4 cups water
- 1 14.5 oz Can of black beans
- 1 14.5 oz can cannellini beans
- 4 cups tomato juice
- 1 Cup brown sugar

Instructions
- Heat oil in the bottom of a large stock pot and add the onion. Cook over medium heat until the onion is translucent.
- Add ground beef, chili powder, salt, pepper in a skillet and cook until beef is browned..
- Remove pot from the burner and mix in the flour.
- Return the pot to the burner and heat over medium heat adding the water. Bring to a boil and add the beans and the tomato juice.
- Bring to a boil and add brown sugar and stir until simmers. If simmering for a while, you may need to add water as the liquid cooks out.

- Substitutions
- Ground Beef - Sausage, Meat substitute, ground pork, ground chicken or ground turkey.
- Onion - 2 teaspoon Onion Powder
- Black and Cannellini Beans - Kidney and Pinto or any soup type beans
- Brown Sugar - Raw Sugar or ¾ cup white sugar plus ¼ cup maple syrup
- For a spicy kick, add a little cayenne pepper or chili sauce to your chili.
