Ingredients
- 500 g chicken Minced
- 1/2 onion Finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic Minced
- 50 g breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper Adjust to taste
- 50 g butter
- 125 ml hot sauce Adjust to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- parsley Fresh for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a tray or plate.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the meatballs and cook, turning occasionally, until they are browned and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes. Transfer the cooked meatballs to a plate and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, add the hot sauce and stir to combine. Adjust the amount of hot sauce to your desired level of spiciness.
- Return the cooked meatballs to the skillet with the buffalo sauce. Gently toss the meatballs in the sauce until they are coated evenly. Simmer for a couple of minutes to heat the meatballs through.
- Serve the Buffalo Chicken Meatballs hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired. They are perfect as an appetiser or as a main dish.
