Cashew Date Shake (vegan, paleo)
Report
As a California-girl I'm a date shake lover. And this version, while dairy-free, vegan and paleo, tastes exactly like the real-deal Palm Springs date shake.
Share:
Ingredients
- ⅔ cup raw cashews soaked for 2 to 4 hours
- 6 Medjool dates pitted and soaked for 10 minutes
- 1 frozen banana
- ¾ cup water
- 2 cups ice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- pinch cinnamon
- pinch sea salt
Instructions
- Blend together. Once your cashews and dates have been soaked, drain them, then add to a high-powered blender. Add the banana, water, ice, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, and salt. Blend on high until thick and creamy.
- Serve. Pour the date shake into glasses. If you'd like, top with whipped cream and enjoy!
Notes
- Pro tip: I always freeze my bananas in halves or slices, so they're easier to blend when frozen.
