  • 25-30 jumbo shells, cooked al dente according to package directions
  • ½ teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 tablespoon hamburger seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced and divided
  • ½ teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 
  • 2 cups (226 g) cheddar cheese, shredded and divided
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 Roma tomato, diced for topping
  • cup dill pickles, diced for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9x13-inch casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the seasoned salt, hamburger seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat the oil in a large skillet. Add half of the diced onion, and the garlic. Cook for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add the ground beef to the pan. Break up the meat with a wooden spoon. Add the Worcestershire sauce and the seasoning mixture.
  5. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, or until no pink remains in the meat. Remove from heat.
  6. Stir in 1 cup of the shredded cheddar cheese, and 1 tablespoon ketchup.
  7. Spoon the hamburger mixture evenly into cooked shells and place into the prepared casserole dish.
  8. Top with remaining cheddar cheese.
  9. Bake 15-20 minutes, or until bubbly.
  10. Top with diced pickles, tomatoes, and onions (optional).
