Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, add 8 ounces cream cheese, 1 cup sour cream, g¼-½ cup granulated sugar, and 1 tablespoon vanilla extract. Beat together with an electric hand mixer (or stand mixer) until smooth.
  2. Place the grapes 2 pounds green grapes, 2 pounds red grapes in a large mixing bowl, add the cream cheese mixture, and gently stir to combine until all the grapes are covered.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to chill.
  4. Just before serving, transfer to a serving bowl and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons light brown sugarand ½ cup pecans, chopped.

Notes

  • Use room-temperature cream cheese, so it is easy to blend with the other ingredients.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days. The pecans will soften, and the brown sugar will melt into the salad, but it still tastes great!
  • Can be made up to one day ahead of time. Leave the pecans and brown sugar off until just before serving.
  • Nut-Free Grape Salad: Replace the pecans with sunflower seeds for a little crunch or leave them off entirely.
  • Lighter Grape Salad: You can use plain Greek yogurt in place of sour cream and Neufchatel cheese to replace the cream cheese.
  • Nuts Alternatives: If you're not a fan of pecans, you can sprinkle the salad with chopped walnuts, almonds, or another favorite nut. These maple bourbon candied pecans would be amazing!
  • Sugar-Free Grape Salad: Swap the sugar for alternatives; try this Besti Brown Sugar substitute and this Besti Granulated Sugar or go healthier and use coconut sugar or date sugar.
  • Grapes: Any grape is a great option for this creamy salad, just make sure they are seedless.
