Cinnamon Bread with Icing

This Cinnamon Bread is super moist, soft, and packed with a delicious cinnamon swirl that’s hard to resist. Plus, this incredibly easy quick bread is topped with a cinnamon glaze that gives it the perfect touch of sweetness.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 Tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • cup canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup brown sugar

Cinnamon Swirl

  • 1 ½ Tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 Tablespoon unsalted butter melted

Cinnamon Glaze

  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9x5 loaf pan with pam baking spray
  2. Using a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, kosher salt, and the cinnamon.
  3. Using a large bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, canola oil, vanilla and eggs until combined.
  4. Gradually beat in the dry ingredients until combined.
  5. Using a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter and 1 1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon until combined.
  6. Pour half of the bread batter into the loaf pan.
  7. Pour half of the cinnamon butter mixture onto the batter.
  8. Using a knife, swirl the cinnamon butter mixture into the batter.
  9. Top with the remaining batter.
  10. Swirl the rest of the cinnamon butter mixture into the batter.
  11. Place the bread pan onto a cookie sheet and place into the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes or until a knife comes out clean.
  12. Allow cooling for 10 minutes before removing and placing onto a wire rack.

Cinnamon Glaze

  1. Using a medium bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, cinnamon, and milk until combined.
  2. Pour over the bread and allow the glaze to set before enjoying!
