Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ cup quick oats
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 ⅓ cup brown sugar packed
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 ¾ cups semisweet chocolate chunks
- 1 ¾ cups milk chocolate chunks
Instructions
- Get out and measure your ingredients.
- Before you get started making the cookies, preheat the oven to 325 degrees F and adjust the rack in the oven to the lower-middle position. Top 2 baking sheets with a piece of parchment paper.
- Combine flour, oats baking soda, powder and salt in medium bowl.
- Stir them together with a whisk or spoon.
- Using a stand mixer with a paddle attachment beat together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar on medium speed until smooth, about 2 minutes.
- Add the honey, eggs and vanilla and beat until well mixed.
- Reduce speed to low and add ⅓ of the flour mixture to the bowl. Repeat two more times and mix just until combined. Use a spatula to scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
- Add the chocolate chunks and use a wooden spoon to stir them into the dough.
- Mixing only until chocolate chips are evenly distributed.
- Use a ¼ cup measuring cup for large cookies (like Chick-fil-A) or 2 tablespoon scoops for a smaller cookie to measure out the dough.
- Roll the measured dough into balls and place them on the prepared baking sheets leaving 2 inches in between the cookies.
- Bake the cookies in the center of the rack until edges are set and beginning to brown but centers are still soft and puffy, about 13-17 minutes, using the 2 tablespoons measurement and 19-25 minutes for the ¼ cup. Be sure to rotate the baking tray halfway through the cooking time.
- Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking tray for 10 minutes before serving.
- Serve them up!
- Enjoy!
