Instructions
For The Brownies
- Heat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare an 8x8 baking pan by lining with parchment paper. You can also spray the pan well with spray cooking oil.
- In a large bowl mix together melted butter, sugar, cocoa, vanilla, eggs, corn syrup and milk until smooth.
- Add cocoa, flour and salt to the wet ingredients. Mix these dry ingredients in gently until fully combined into the wet ingredients to make a batter.
- Pour the batter into the baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Make The Frosting
- Warm the heavy cream in the microwave or a small saucepan until it just begins to bubble
- Remove the cream from heat and stir in the chocolate and chocolate chips until melted and smooth. Let the frosting stand for 2-3 minutes to thicken. Pour the frosting over brownies.
- Top with sprinkles then allow to cool for 3 hours before slicing so the frosting fully sets. Enjoy!
Notes
- Heavy whipping cream can easily be swapped for the heavy cream in this recipe to make the chocolate ganache frosting for the brownies.
- I've used a mix of milk chocolate chips and semi-sweet chocolate in a bar form. You can use either chocolate in milk or bar form. If using chocolate in a bar form, I recommend chopping it into pieces before making the frosting to help it melt evenly and smoothly.
- Find Rainbow Crunch Sprinkles online or in the baking aisle.
