Cream Cheese Pasta
Description
This dish starts with boiling spaghetti in salted water until cooked according to package instructions, then reserving some pasta water before draining. Meanwhile, butter and olive oil are heated in a pan, and finely minced garlic is gently sautéed until fragrant. Salt and freshly ground black pepper are added to this base.
Reserved pasta water is poured into the pan and brought to a simmer, then cream cheese is stirred in until melted and combined with the garlic butter. Shredded Parmesan cheese is melted into the sauce next, enriching the flavor and texture. The cooked pasta is then tossed in the sauce to evenly coat each strand, resulting in a creamy, lightly cheesy pasta dish.
This pasta works well as a main course on its own or as a base for adding vegetables or proteins. The garlic and cheese provide the primary flavors, while the cream cheese contributes a smooth, luscious consistency. It can be enjoyed immediately for the best texture and flavor.
Storing leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days is possible, but the texture may change upon reheating, so gently warming is recommended.
