Creamy Cajun Shrimp Pasta

Seasoned with Cajun spices and cooked shrimp, this pasta dish combines creamy heavy cream and Parmesan cheese with sautéed red pepper and garlic. The linguine is tossed in a rich sauce that balances the heat of Cajun seasoning with the smoothness of butter and cream. It’s a hearty meal offering a satisfying blend of spicy and creamy flavors and a tender, yet slightly firm pasta texture.

Description

Creamy Cajun Shrimp Pasta features peeled and deveined shrimp coated in Cajun seasoning, sautéed in butter until just pink. Red pepper and minced garlic join the pan briefly before a sauce of heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, basil, and black pepper simmers to meld flavors. Linguine cooked al dente is then combined with the sauce to create a dish with creamy texture and a mildly spicy profile from the Cajun seasoning.

The shrimp contribute a tender bite that contrasts with the lush cream sauce, while the Parmesan adds a savory depth. This dish works well as a main course, offering a filling meal with balanced seasoning.

According to the notes, experimenting with different pasta types like penne can alter the dish's appearance and texture. Both tails-on and tails-off raw shrimp can be used based on preference. These suggestions can personalize the dish slightly without altering the core recipe.
