Creamy Italian Iced Coffee
Description
The drink is prepared by combining hot espresso or strong coffee with cold milk and cream in a blender along with crushed ice and a small amount of sugar. Blending for under a minute mixes and chills the ingredients, producing a creamy, slightly thickened texture with frothy foam on top. The coffee's robust flavor contrasts with the dairy's smoothness, while the sugar adds subtle sweetness.
Serving the coffee immediately ensures the best texture and temperature. This beverage works well on warm days or when a cold, creamy coffee is desired. It can be adjusted to taste by varying sugar or cream levels.
Ingredients
- ½ cup espresso coffee 120 grams, or really strong coffee
- 1 cup milk 250 grams, 2%
- ½ cup cream (120 grams)
- 5-6 ice cubes chopped or crushed
- 1 teaspoon sugar or to taste
Instructions
- In the blender add the coffee, milk, cream, ice and a little sugar then blend on medium speed for 30-40 seconds (or until desired consistency is reached) pour into glasses, top with some foam and serve on ice if desired. Enjoy!
