Easy Brown Sugar Glaze for Ham

This is the perfect glazed ham. By using a spiral cut bone-in ham, you'll get the maximum amount of flavor with just the right sweetness with the caramelized glaze.

Ingredients
- 8 lb fully cooked spiral cut, bone-in ham
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon allspice
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
Instructions
- Remove the ham from the refrigerator 1 hour before cooking.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Place the ham, flat side down, in a roasting pan and cover it with foil.
- Bake in the oven for 60 minutes.
- While the ham is baking, add the butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, allspice, and dijon mustard to a saucepan.
- Heat it over medium heat, whisking as the butter begins to melt. Remove from the heat.
- Remove the ham from the oven, remove the foil, and baste it with the glaze.
- Place the ham back in the oven and bake an additional 20 minutes.
- Remove the ham from the oven and add the remaining glaze.
Notes
- If the glaze is too thick and you need to thin it out, add water a tablespoon at a time until it's the consistency you want.
- If you can't find spiral sliced, be sure to score the ham with a sharp knife in a diamond pattern about 1/4" deep around the ham.
- You'll want to wait to add the glaze until the last 20 minutes of baking to keep the sugar from burning.
