Easy Candied Yams (sweet potatoes) are a quick way to serve up this popular side dish this holiday season with no peeling and slicing potatoes required! Ingredients
- 1 can (40 ounces) cut yams or sweet potatoes, drained
- 1 cup (200 g) light brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ cup (½ stick / 57 g) unsalted butter, cut into 1 tablespoon pieces
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- To an 8x8-inch baking dish, add yams or sweet potatoes. Sprinkle brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and salt over the top.
- Evenly top with butter pieces.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until bubbly and the syrup is thick, stirring halfway through baking. Serve immediately.
