													Easy Cheesy Rice Pilaf is a delicious side dish that goes with absolutely everything! Toasted rice is cooked in chicken broth and topped with parmesan cheese for a side dish that is sure to please!

                                Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter
 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
 - 1 small yellow onion finely chopped
 - 2 cups long grain white rice
 - 4 cups chicken broth
 - 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
 - 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
 
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, heat the butter and olive oil over medium-high eat. Add in the onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes.
 - Add in the rice and toast for another 3-4 minutes.
 - Add in the broth, cover the pan, and bring the broth to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer until all the broth is absorbed (about 15 minutes).
 - Remove from heat and stir in the cheese, white pepper, and salt. Enjoy!
