Ingredients
- 1 lice cheddar cheese thick slice
- cheese cubes
- black and green olives
- variety of crackers
- purple and green grapes
- variety of nuts
- 2 dates
- fresh herbs like oregano, rosemary, or thyme
Instructions
- Use a small star cookie cutter to cut a star out of the slice of cheddar cheese. Add the star to the top of a cheese board, cheese plate, charcuterie board, or cutting board of your choosing.
- Layer items underneath the star in thin layers going from the most narrow to the widest layers as you go down. Keep adding layers until you get about 1 inch from the bottom of the board.
- Add two dates to the bottom of the tree to create the tree trunk.
- Add fresh herbs around the tree to give it the look of a tree.
Notes
- Use ingredients that aren’t going to bleed or impact other ingredients nearby. Hard or medium cheeses, nuts, grapes, and dried fruits work best.
- Serve this alongside your favorite jams, spreads, and dips if people want to use them to eat with the cheese and crackers.
- Start with small layers, just like I did with this s’mores board, and refill as necessary. You don’t want to try and stack too many pieces of anything into a layer or it’ll ruin the look of your board.
- Store any leftovers wrapped in plastic wrap in the fridge for up to five days. Remove the crackers before placing in the fridge and store outside of the fridge in their own airtight container then just add when you’re ready to eat again.
