Easy Frittata

Frittata is like the more generous cousin of the omelet. They can be prepared with vegetables, cheeses, meats, or anything else you like. They're incredibly versatile and perfect for any meal—whether it's breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner, frittatas have you covered!Pair it with a fresh salad, crusty bread, or a side of roasted potatoes.  And for that perfect finishing touch, don’t forget to add a dollop of sour cream or a sprinkle of fresh herbs!

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 small onion , finely chopped
  • 1 cup vegetables cooked
  • 1 cup greens cooked
  • 1 cup Bacon or cooked vegetables or greens, diced, cooked
  • 1 cup sausage
  • 1 cup ham
  • 8 large egg
  • cup heavy whipping cream or whole milk
  • ½ teaspoon Knorr chicken bouillon adjust to taste, or kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1-¼ cups cheese Mexican Blend Cheese, cheddar, mozzarella, feta, etc, shredded or grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F, and set an oven rack in the middle position.
  2. Heat the oil in a 10-inch ovenproof nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add chopped onions to the skillet and cook, stirring often, until soft, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  4. Add your precooked vegetables to the skillet and stir well to combine them with the onions.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, combine the eggs, heavy cream, Knorr chicken-flavored bouillon (or kosher salt), and pepper. Whisk these ingredients together until they are well blended.
  6. Add sautéed vegetables and cheese to the mixing bowl, stirring thoroughly for even distribution.
  7. Pour the egg and vegetable mixture back into the same skillet.
  8. Carefully place the skillet into your preheated oven and bake for 20 to 23 minutes, or until the frittata is set and cooked through.
  9. Serve the frittata from the pan or slide it onto a platter using a spatula.

  • To store your Frittata, let it cool to room temperature for about 30 minutes, then refrigerate it in an airtight container or cover it with foil or plastic wrap for up to 3 days.
  • To reheat your Frittata, you can either use the microwave or warm it in a 300°F oven, covering it with foil until it's hot in the center.
