Ingredients

  • 1 dry yeast package
  • 1 cup water warm
  • 1/2 cup onion yellow or red onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 1/2 cups bread flour plain
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper ground
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder or garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  2. Add onion and oil. Sift together flour, sugar, salt, pepper, and onion powder.
  3. Gradually add the flour mixture to the yeast mixture making a stiff dough.
  4. Pour mixture into 2 greased 9×5-inch loaf pans.
  5. Allow rise until doubles in size, about 1 hour.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 35-40 minutes.
  7. Remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Enjoy!
