Easy Stuffed Peppers Recipe

Easy stuffed peppers are a family favorite and packed with hearty Ground Beef and amazing flavor. They also make a great first food for growing little ones.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 6 bell peppers see note
- 1 ½ cups rice cooked
- ⅓ cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 15 oz diced tomatoes
- ⅓ cup onions diced
- 2 tablespoons garlic minced
- ½ teaspoon sage ground
- ½ teaspoon thyme leaves
- ¼ teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ¾ cup cheddar cheese shredded
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350ºF.
- In a large bowl, combine Ground Beef, cooked rice, onion, garlic, spices, tomatoes, breadcrumbs, and egg until well mixed.
- Slice the tops off of the peppers, leaving as wide of an opening as possible. Clean out the insides.
- Place peppers upright in a greased 9x13 pan.
- Fill with Ground Beef mixture.
- Cover with foil and bake for 50 minutes.
- Uncover, top with cheese, and bake an additional 10 minutes, until a meat thermometer registers 165ºF.

Notes
- You can use any kind of bell pepper you prefer. Choose peppers that are wide with a flat base. They will stand up better in the pan.
