Make easy vegan pizza dough at home with just 6 basic pantry ingredients in under an hour - by hand or in a stand mixer. Perfect for pizza night AND make-ahead and freezer-friendly!

Ingredients
- 1-¾ to 2-¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 envelope of rapid rise yeast
- 1 ½ teaspoons of granulated sugar
- ¾ teaspoon of salt
- ⅔ cup of very warm water (120°-130ºF)
- 3 tablespoons of corn or vegetable oil
- Pizza Sauce
- Your favorite pizza fixings
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
- Combine 1 cup of flour, undissolved yeast, sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Add very warm water and oil; mix until well blended, about 1 minute. Gradually add enough remaining flour to make a soft dough. The dough should form a ball and will be slightly sticky. Knead on a floured surface, adding additional flour if necessary, until smooth and elastic, about 4 minutes. Let dough rest at this point for 10 minutes.
- Pat dough with floured hands to fill a greased pizza pan or baking sheet. OR roll dough on a floured counter to a 12-inch circle; place in a greased pizza pan or baking sheet. Form a rim by pinching the edge of the dough.
- Spread with pizza sauce and top with desired toppings.
- Bake on the lowest oven rack for 12 to 15 minutes, until the vegan cheese (if using) is bubbly and the crust is lightly browned.

- For better flavor/texture: Let the dough do a slow rise in the fridge for 24-48 hours (using instant/active dry yeast), then knock it down, shape, and bake.
- To add flavor: Boost this basic dough for pizza with herbs/spices like onion and garlic powder, dried oregano/Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, etc.
- Adjust thickness: Use it to make thick, regular, or thin-crust pizza dough and adjust baking time accordingly.
