Instructions

  1. Grease and line a 20 x 20cm (8 x 8") baking tin, leaving extra baking paper overhanging to help you remove the slice from the tin, and set aside.
  2. Place the biscuits (375g) into a food processor and process into fine crumbs.
  3. In a small saucepan, combine the condensed milk (395g), salted butter (100g), vanilla (½ tsp), and roughly chopped Mars Bars (4) and melt together over low heat until smooth.
  4. Add condensed milk mixture to the crushed biscuits and mix to combine.
  5. Press base mixture into the prepared tin and smooth out the top.
  6. Place the Caramilk chocolate (180g) and vegetable oil (1 tbsp) in a small microwave-safe bowl and melt in the microwave in 30 second bursts (mixing with a metal spoon in between bursts) until just melted, then mix well to combine the oil and chocolate.
  7. Pour the melted Caramilk evenly over the base and allow to set in the fridge.

Notes

  • *Please note that the amount of calories per serve is provided as a guide only, as ingredients and cooking methods can vary greatly*
  • If you don't have a food processor to crush the biscuits just put them into a sturdy plastic bag and give them a good bash with a rolling pin.
  • The vegetable oil is combined with the Caramilk chocolate so that it's easier to slice (and eat) without cracking. You could substitute coconut oil if you prefer.
  • It's still important to grease and line your tin even though we aren't baking as such, this is to help the slice come out of the tin when it's set. If you are still having difficulty getting it out just sit the base of the tin in hot water for a few seconds and it should come right out.
  • As with any no-bake slice, one of the advantages is that you don't need a baking tin to make it in. If you don't have a baking tin of the right size, just use something else such as a plastic container like tupperware etc.
