Fresh Mango Lassi Recipe

Fresh Mango Lassi combines ripe mangoes with thick yogurt, milk, and a touch of sugar to create a chilled, creamy Indian beverage. The smooth texture and gentle sweetness balance the tang of yogurt, with optional cardamom adding subtle aroma. It’s a refreshing drink best served immediately, often garnished with chopped mangoes or dry fruits for added texture and appeal.

Description

The Fresh Mango Lassi Recipe blends ripe, sweet mangoes with full-fat, thick yogurt and chilled milk, resulting in a creamy and smooth drink. Sugar is added to adjust sweetness, while optional crushed cardamom imparts a faint spicy floral note. The mangoes are pureed first with sugar, enhancing their natural sweetness before yogurt and milk are incorporated for a balanced texture.

Preparation involves blending until uniform, then serving immediately to enjoy its fresh and cool qualities. Garnishes like chopped mango pieces or dry fruits add an inviting touch. The lassi has a consistency that is neither too thick nor too thin, striking a pleasing balance for drinking.

Using chilled ingredients rather than ice preserves the rich taste without dilution. Ripe, fiberless mangoes and fresh, thick curd are important for authentic flavor and smooth texture. Adjust sugar to personal taste, and omit cardamom if preferred.
