Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) frozen hash browns
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- spritz olive oil or calorie-controlled cooking spray
- ½ teaspoon salt or to taste

Instructions
- Preheat the Air Fryer to 400 degrees F / 200 degrees C.
- Combine hash browns with Italian seasoning and salt, then spritz with olive oil.
- Place the hash browns in a single layer inside the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket a couple of times through the cooking time.
To Make Frozen Hash Brown Patties
- Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F / 200 degrees C.
- Place patties in the air fryer in a single layer inside the preheated air fryer basket.
- Cook for 8-12 minutes, carefully flipping half way through the cooking time using a utensil.
- If you want them extra crispy you might need to add more oil and cook them for a few more minutes.
- Let them cool slightly before serving.
Cook The Shredded Version
- Preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F / 200 degrees C.
- Spray oil lightly in the air fryer basket. Place the frozen shredded hash browns in a thin layer, making sure to not over crowd the basket. It's up to you, but you can spray some oil on them to make them even crispier. Sprinkle on some seasoning if desired.
- Air fry for 12-15 minutes. Shake the basket a couple of times during the cooking time.
- If you want them a little crispier, then you can add another 2-4 of minutes to your cook time.

- Break up the hash browns before air frying, as larger pieces may not crisp up as well. Like with frozen peas, you can whack the packet against the counter to break them up.
- Work in batches if needed so you don’t overcrowd the air fryer basket.
- Larger hash browns may need to cook for an additional minute or two.
- Season with salt to suit your taste.
- Storage - keep leftover hash browns in an airtight container inside the fridge up to 5 days.
