Description

This Garlic Butter Shrimp Scampi recipe begins by melting butter in a skillet, then cooking minced garlic, diced shallots, and crushed red pepper flakes until fragrant. Medium-sized peeled and deveined shrimp are added and seasoned with salt and pepper, cooking just a few minutes until pink and opaque. The shrimp are then tossed with fresh chopped parsley, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and lemon zest, giving a fresh, citrusy contrast to the rich butter and garlic base.

The dish delivers tender shrimp in a sauce that balances buttery richness with citrus brightness and a hint of heat from the red pepper flakes. The quick preparation emphasizes freshness and preserves the shrimp's delicate texture and flavor.

Serve immediately for the best taste and texture, making this dish suitable as a quick seafood main or a component alongside pasta, rice, or vegetables.
