Garlic Knot Recipe
Description
This recipe starts with a yeast dough made by activating sugar, yeast, oil, and salt in warm water, then mixing with flour and egg to form a smooth dough. After kneading and a first proof until doubled, the dough is rolled into long ropes and tied into loose knots that allow expansion during baking.
After a second proof on a prepared pan, the knots are baked until they develop a light golden crust with a soft interior. A melted butter blend with minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and sea salt is brushed over the knots, enhancing their aroma and taste with savory garlic and herb notes.
The finished garlic knots are best served warm as an appetizer, snack, or accompaniment to soups and salads. Their tender crumb and buttery garlic topping provide comforting flavors with an inviting texture.
