- Bake at 350 degrees for 45-55 minutes or a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and place rack on top of bundt pan. Flip and allow to totally cool. Flip back onto serving plate.
Make the Icing.
- In a large mixing bowl combine all of the ingredients. Blend together on low speed until smooth.
Assembling the Cake
- Smear icing all over the cake. Sprinkle with 1 cup of crushed cookies. Serve and enjoy.
Perfect Bundt Cake Glaze (Chocolate), Optional
- Chocolate glaze or sometimes known as ganache is very easy to make.
- Make chocolate glaze by whisking together chocolate chips and heated heavy cream until thick and smooth. Pour over your cake, then add decorations if desired. Let icing set and stiffen, then serve as desired.
Vanilla Bundt Cake Glaze, Optional
- Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl and stir to combine until totally smooth. If the mixture is too thin, add more powdered sugar, a few tablespoons at a time. If the mixture is too thick, add more cream, a tablespoon or two at a time.
Cream Cheese Glaze, Optional
- In a small bowl, beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.Pour out over your cake, and shake gently from side to side to ensure the glaze drips down.
Notes
- Do not over mix. Be careful not to over mix the ingredients to avoid a dense cake.
- Only fill the bundt cake pan three-quarters full otherwise the cake may overflow.
- Bring your butter, eggs, and dairy to room temperature before measuring to help achieve a lighter, better cake texture.
- For perfect baking. Preheat the oven and make sure to monitor the baking time closely. Once you Insert a toothpick into the center and it comes out clean, your cake is ready to be removed from the oven.
- Cool completely. The cake needs to be totally cool before you turn it out onto a wire rack or lightly sugared plate and add the frosting. This prevents the frosting from melting.
