Instructions
- Prepare the meat: In a medium bowl, combine the ground beef and hamburger seasoning. Mix gently but thoroughly until well combined. Do not overmix.
- Form patties: Divide the ground beef mixture into four equal portions. Form each portion into a thin patty, slightly larger than your tortillas.
- Grill the burgers: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Grill the burgers for 3-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). During the last minute of grilling, place a slice of cheese on top of each burger to melt.
- Warm the tortillas: While the burgers are grilling, you can warm the tortillas on the grill for a few seconds per side, or in a skillet or microwave. This makes them more pliable for wrapping.
- Assemble the wraps: Place a grilled cheeseburger patty in the center of each warm tortilla. Top with your desired toppings, such as shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced red onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, or barbecue sauce.
- Wrap and serve: Fold in the sides of the tortilla and then roll it up tightly, like a burrito. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Meat: You can use ground beef, ground turkey, or even plant-based burger patties for this recipe.
- Cheese: Cheddar cheese is a classic choice, but you can use any cheese that melts well, such as American, Monterey Jack, or pepper jack.
- Toppings: Get creative with your toppings! Consider adding avocado, bacon, or a special sauce.
- Tortillas: Use large flour tortillas for easier wrapping. You can also use whole wheat tortillas for a healthier option.
- Grilling: If you don't have a grill, you can cook the burgers in a skillet on the stovetop.
