Grilled Steak Fajitas

Grilled Steak Fajitas feature marinated skirt or flank steak with bell peppers and onions roasted until charred and tender. The marinade includes citrus juices, soy sauce, garlic, and steak seasoning, infusing the meat with bright and savory flavors. Served warm with tortillas, this dish balances juicy, thinly sliced steak and caramelized vegetables for a classic fajita experience.

Description

This recipe begins by marinating the steak in a blend of orange and lime juice, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, and a steak fajitas seasoning blend, allowing the meat to absorb citrus acidity and umami. After a two-hour marinade, the steak is grilled over medium-high heat for a few minutes per side to achieve a nicely seared exterior while maintaining juiciness.

Resting the steak before slicing ensures the juices redistribute, and slicing against the grain produces tender, easy-to-chew strips. Meanwhile, bell peppers of assorted colors and a large white onion are sautéed in a pan over high heat until softened and slightly charred, adding a smoky sweetness and texture contrast.

The components are served together with warm tortillas, providing a build-your-own fajita meal that offers a balance between savory, tangy steak and sweet-roasted vegetables. This method captures essential fajita elements with straightforward seasoning and cooking steps.
