Homemade Alfredo Sauce with Milk Recipe

Alfredo sauce is delicious served with pasta. It’s easy to make at home, and this recipe uses whole milk instead of cream.

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 3 cups whole milk warm
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 2 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
- fresh chopped parsley

Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for one minute.
- Add the flour and whisk to combine with the butter. Cook for about 5 minutes or until the mixture is bubbly and just slightly darker than when you started.
- Place the milk into a microwave safe measuring cup and heat for about one minute until warm.
- Pour 1/2 cup of the milk into the flour mixture and whisk until a dough forms. Keep adding the remaining milk, 1/2 cup at a time, whisking after each addition until smooth.
- Continue to whisk continually for about five more minutes until bubbly.
- Turn off the heat and add the parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and parsley.
- Whisk together until smooth and serve over hot pasta.
