Ingredients
- 3 Ibs granny smith apples; cored peeled, and diced or sliced
- 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 8 tablespoons cornstarch
- 4 1/2 cup water

Instructions
- In a large bowl, add the sliced or diced apples and lemon juice and mix them together.
- Over medium heat, combine the water, sugar, cornstarch, salt, and cinnamon, and bring the mixture to a boil stirring constantly.
- Add the apple and stir, reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes or until the apples are softened.
- Remove from the heat and set aside to cool for 60 minutes.
- Divide the mixer in half and store it in containers or zip-lock bags.
- This pie filling will be enough to make two apple pies.
