Homemade Creamy Coffee Liqueur
Description
The recipe uses brewed strong coffee, whole milk, heavy cream, and sugar combined and gently heated until the sugar dissolves fully without boiling. After cooling the mixture completely, vodka is stirred in to combine. The liqueur is then stored refrigerated for two days to allow flavors to meld before serving. The texture is creamy and smooth, with a deep coffee aroma balanced by sweetness and the vodka's presence.
This liqueur can be served chilled or over ice, and works well in cocktails, coffee drinks, or on its own as a dessert beverage. It requires refrigeration and should be shaken before use to ensure even consistency.
Store the liqueur in an airtight bottle in the refrigerator, where it remains good for up to two weeks. For colder servings, it can be kept in the freezer if the bottle is suitable. Using good-quality vodka contributes to the smooth taste.
Ingredients
- ¼ cup coffee 65 grams total, if you double the recipe then double this amount, strong, cold, 1 tablespoon, e.g. espresso
