Homemade Croutons
Report
It's so easy to make your own croutons to top salads and soups with just a few simple ingredients. These homemade croutons are seasoned with parmesan, garlic and herbs and are oven baked for a wonderful crispy bite.

Ingredients
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ⅓ cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- salt and black pepper
- 4 cups bread cubes I used gluten-free bread

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, add the grated Parmesan cheese, olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning and salt and pepper. Mix everything.
- Add bread cubes and toss to coat.
- Spread the bread cubes on the lined baking sheet and bake in a preheated 375 F oven for about 20 minutes turning halfway through.
Notes
- Cut the bread into similar sized cubes so that they cook evenly.
- Make them vegan by omitting the parmesan cheese.
- Be sure to turn the croutons halfway through baking so that they get crispy all over.
- Let them cool completely before storing so that they stay crunchy.
