My Stollen recipe, also known as German Christmas Bread, has dried fruit that has been soaked in rum, candied orange peels, raisins, and a whole lot of flavor!

Ingredients
- 2 cups (10oz/284g) raisins
- 1 ⅓ cups (6 ½ oz/185g) candied citrus peel
- ⅔ cup (3½oz/94g) almonds finely chopped
- ½ cup (4floz/115ml) dark rum
- 1 cup (8floz/225ml) lukewarm milk
- 3 teaspoons instant yeast
- 2 tablespoons plus 6 tablespoons granulated sugar divided
- 4½ cups (22½oz/639g) all-purpose flour
- 1 large egg
- 2 large egg yolks
- ¾ cup (6oz/170g) butter softened
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- zest of one lemon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¾ teaspoon ground cardamom
- ¾ teaspoon ground mace
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup (8oz/225g) marzipan
- ½ cup (4floz/115ml) melted butter
- 4 cups (16oz/460g) powdered sugar
