Honey chipotle chicken wings are tossed in a smoky-sweet sauce and baked until juicy. They’re finger lickin’ good and perfect for game days, tailgates, and bbqs.

Ingredients
- 1 pound chicken wings
- ½ cup honey
- 1 cup ketchup
- 4 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce chopped
- 1 tablespoon adobo sauce
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
- ranch dressing (optional, for dipping)
- blue cheese dressing (optional, for dipping)

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400ºF.
- Skin and clean the chicken wings, removing any extra fat or tendons and place in a medium size bowl and set aside.
- In a small saucepan combine the remaining ingredients and cook over medium heat for 5 minutes stirring occasionally. Remove from heat.
- Add ½ cup of the sauce to the chicken wings and toss to coat.
- Lightly spray a baking rack with cooking spray and place on a parchment lined baking sheet. Place the wings on the baking rack and baste the wings then bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
- Remove the wings from the oven and baste with the remaining sauce. Raise the heat to 450ºF and bake for 5 more minutes or until caramelized. Remove and serve with additional sauce and Ranch dressing if desired.
Notes
- ** If you want to use the remaining honey chipotle sauce as a dip for the chicken wings, be sure to bring the sauce to a boil for a few minutes, stirring constantly, to cook out any contamination that may have occurred when basting back and forth from the wings to the sauce.
