Report
These honey garlic chicken wings are perfectly sweet and sticky with a little hint of spice from red pepper flakes. They are easy to make and family friendly.

Ingredients
Wings
- 2 pounds wings (wings and drumettes)
- 1 teaspoon coarse kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Honey Garlic Wing Sauce
- ½ cup honey
- ⅓ cup water
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger (or ginger paste)
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper chili flakes
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F.
- Place the wings in a large mixing bowl.
- Season the wings with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- Toss to coat so that all of the wings are coated with the seasoning.
- Place the seasoned wings on a parchment-lined baking sheet leaving a little space between the wings.
- Bake for 35 minutes or until the internal temperature reads 165°F.
- While the wings are in the oven, make the sauce.
- Add honey, water, soy sauce, minced garlic, ginger, cornstarch, and chili flakes to a saucepan. Whisk until smooth.
- Heat over medium heat and simmer for about 10 minutes, whisking occasionally.
- Remove from the sauce from the heat and set aside until the wings are done.
- Once the wings are fully cooked, add them to a large, clean mixing bowl and pour the sauce over them. Toss to coat.
- Once the wings are fully coated in the sauce, serve, and enjoy!

Notes
- For convenience, you can use ginger paste instead of freshly grated ginger. You can often find it in the produce section or near the jarred minced garlic at the grocery store.
