Ingredients

  • 1 15.5 oz can hominy
  • ¼ cup water
  • 1 Tbs butter
  • 1 strip crispy bacon
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Drain the can of hominy
  2. Pour all of the other ingredients into a medium sized saucepan over medium heat on the stove top.
  3. Heat saucepan till ingredients are heated through
  4. serve hot

Notes

  • Hominy may be yellow or white.  The yellow has a slightly stronger flavor.  The difference is because of the type of corn used.
