How to Make a Killer Caprese Salad Platter

This Caprese Salad Platter arranges fresh arugula or spinach greens with marinated mozzarella balls, burrata, mozzarella balls, assorted cured meats, stone fruits, raspberries, olives, marcona almonds, and fresh basil. Drizzled with lemon-flavored olive oil and balsamic glaze, it offers a variety of textures and bright, savory flavors ideal for sharing or as a fresh appetizer.

Description

The platter centers leafy greens such as arugula, fresh spinach, or mixed salad greens surrounded by marinated mozzarella balls infused with lemon peel, red pepper flakes, and olive oil, creamy burrata, and additional mozzarella balls. Seleced cured meats like Calabrese or prosciutto add savory, salty notes. Sliced stone fruit such as nectarines or peaches, raspberries or strawberries, kalamata olives, and crunchy marcona almonds provide fruit, salt, and texture contrast. Fresh slivered basil boosts freshness.

Dressing is applied by drizzling lemon-flavored olive oil and balsamic glaze over the assembled ingredients, then seasoning with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. The salad is meant for guests to customize their own bites by combining flavors and textures from the array.

The marinated mozzarella balls are prepared by soaking in olive oil with lemon strips, red pepper flakes, and salt, allowing enhanced flavor that intensifies as they marinate from 1 hour up to one week. This platter suits entertaining or light meals, emphasizing variety and fresh ingredients.
