Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 pound steak leftover
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. Bring the steak to room temperature if it has been refrigerated.
  2. Preheat your oven to 250°F and place the steak on a wire rack in a rimmed baking sheet.
  3. Place the steak in the oven and bake the steak until the internal temperature reaches 110°F. This will take approximately 30 minutes depending on the thickness and size of the steak.
  4. Add oil to a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the baked steak and sear for about 1 minute to create a nice crisp exterior.
  5. Let the meat rest for about 5 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • The oven may not be the quickest method, but we think it’s well worth the extra time. If you prefer to use other methods like microwave, stove-top, or air fryer, see the post above
