- Place a trivet inside the Instant Pot, and arrange the seasoned steak strips on the trivet.
- Add sliced bell peppers and onions, then season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- Secure the lid, set the valve to 'Sealing', and cook on High Pressure for 3 minutes. When the timer goes off, do a quick release to avoid overcooking the steak.
- Serve by assembling the tortillas with the steak strips, bell peppers, and onions. Top with avocado slices and a squeeze of lime juice. Enjoy!
Notes
- Place the steak in the freezer for 10 minutes. This will make it easier to cut into slices.
- Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips. This helps break down the muscle fibers and ensures each bite is tender.
- Tailor the heat to your preference by adjusting the amount of chili powder and adding a little cayenne to the seasoning or fresh jalapeños or hot sauce.
- Don't overcook the steak. Overcooking can make the steak tough. Follow the recommended cooking times for tender results.
- Vegetables need seasoning too. A pinch of salt and a dash of spices can elevate their flavor.
