Leftover Brisket Stroganoff Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups brisket roughly chopped, smoked
  • a plate of pasta of your choice cooked
  • 1 cup Chianti wine Shiraz or Merlot wine
  • cup sour cream
  • ½ cup onion diced
  • 1 garlic finely chopped, clove
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon butter unsalted
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • parsley chopped, for garnish, fresh

Instructions

  1. In a pan over medium heat, melt the butter and add the onions and garlic.
  2. Cook until softened and add the tomato paste, then cook until brown.
  3. Add the Worcestershire sauce and wine to the pan to dislodge the browned residue on the fan, forming a nice gravy.
  4. Turn the heat to high and bring the mixture to a boil before turning it to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Add the sour cream and the brisket and stir to properly combine.
  6. Cook for 5 minutes and then pour everything onto the plate of pasta. Garnish with parsley and serve.
