Ingredients

Servings
  • 8 oz fettuccini uncooked

Lemon Garlic Cream Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 onion chopped, small
  • 2 garlic minced, cloves
  • 1 tsp lemon peel grated
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 4 oz cream cheese cubed
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons parsley minced, fresh
  • Parmesan Cheese optional, grated

Instructions

  1. Cook the fettuccini according to package directions and drain.

Lemon Garlic Cream Sauce:

  1. To make the sauce, In a large skillet over medium high heat melt the butter. Add the onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender. Add the garlic and lemon peel. Slowly stir in the heavy cream, salt and pepper. Whisk in the cubed cream cheese and stir until melted. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly. Add in the lemon juice.
  2. Add pasta, and parsley to the sauce. Toss to coat. Serve immediately and garnish with lemon peel, parsley, parmesan cheese if desired.
