Ingredients
- ¼ cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup cocoa
- 1-1½ cups cold water
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ¾ teaspoon cloves
- 6 cups milk
- Whipped Cream
- nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
- In a medium pot, combine sugar, flour, cocoa, water, and spices. Cook for 4 minutes over medium heat.
- Add milk and let scald but do not boil.
- Stir in vanilla and remove from heat.
- If desired, top with whipped cream and nutmeg.
