Share:
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh mint leaves (pudina)
- 9 to 10 tablespoons jaggery powder or sugar, add as required
- ¼ cup water or add as required
- ½ teaspoon black salt or regular salt
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder (jeera powder)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Remove the mint leaves from the stems. Rinse in water for a couple of times. Drain all the water.
- Add all the rinsed mint leaves, jaggery or sugar, salt, cumin powder, lemon juice and water in a blender and blend to a smooth and fine paste.
- Strain the juice mixture.
- Take ¼ amount of the strained mint juice in a glass. Add ¾ amount of water. Mix well.
- Add a few ice cubes and serve the Mint Juice cold.
Notes
- Use fresh and tender mint leaves. Try not to use the stems as they can make the juice taste bitter.
- Adjust the amount of jaggery or your preferred sweetener, lemon juice and salt according to your preferences.
- Any fruit or herb juice is best served as soon as it is made. So is the case with this mint juice. If there are any leftovers then refrigerate for a few hours only.
- Scale the recipe to make more quantities of the mint juice.
