  • 3 coops whey protein vanilla flavor
  • 2 Tablespoons Low-calorie sweetener
  • 4 Tablespoons coconut flour
  • 2 ½ Tablespoons coconut oil melted
  • 6 Tablespoons water
  • ¼ Cup Sprinkles optional

Instructions

  1. Place the protein powder, sweetener, coconut flour, coconut oil and water in a bowl; stir until a dough forms. You may need to add more water, 1 teaspoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  2. Form tablespoon-sized balls of the dough.
  3. Place the sprinkles on a plate and roll the balls in sprinkles.
  4. Refrigerate until ready to eat.

Notes

  • Use any protein of choice. Vegan-friendly protein will work just fine. 
  • Instead of coconut flour, you can use almond flour
  • Refrigerate the leftovers in an airtight container for up to five to seven days.
  • Freeze the birthday cake energy balls in the freezer by placing them in a freezer-safe bag. Store the bites in the freezer for up to one month. Allow them to thaw to room temperature before eating.
  • Customize your birthday cake protein bites with additional fiber by adding flaxseed meals or hemp hearts to your recipe. You can use chocolate sprinkles if you don't have birthday cake sprinkles. The options are limited!
  • We have not tried honey with this recipe so we do not recommend it.
