Olive Garden Salad
Description
This salad starts with a mixture of iceberg lettuce and Roma tomatoes, providing a fresh, crisp base. Red onion slices add slight pungency, while pepperoncini peppers and black olives contribute a piquant and salty bite. Croutons add crunch, and shaved Parmesan provides a mild, nutty richness. The ingredients come together in a large bowl for even mixing.
The dressing combines an Italian dressing mix with olive oil, white wine vinegar, water, sugar, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and a touch of mayonnaise. Whisked until smooth, the dressing delivers a harmonious balance of acidic and savory notes that complement the salad components without overpowering them. When poured over the salad and tossed, the dressing coats the ingredients to enhance each bite.
This salad is best served right after dressing to maintain crouton crunch and fresh vegetable texture. It fits well as a starter or side dish alongside Italian and American meals.
Extra dressing can be stored in the refrigerator for several days to use on future salads.
