Orange Tea Recipe
Description
This Orange Tea Recipe begins with preparing a syrup by boiling fresh orange juice with sugar until fully dissolved. Separately, water is boiled with cinnamon and star anise to extract a fragrant spice infusion. Tea leaves are steeped briefly in this spiced water before straining. The prepared orange syrup is then combined with the brewed tea to balance the citrus acidity with sweetness and spice.
The drink combines the tartness and natural sweetness of orange juice with the aromatic warmth of cinnamon and a subtle licorice note from star anise. The tea base adds depth and body, while the fresh orange slices garnish enhance its visual appeal and impart a slight additional citrus aroma.
This tea suits chilly days when a comforting, sweetened hot beverage is welcome. It can be served in teacups and enjoyed as an alternative to plain black tea or other flavored infusions.
