Pita Chips from Scratch

Ingredients

  • 4 pita bread 8 halves, whole
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoons coarse finishing salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Cut Pitas: Cut whole pitas in half and then split in half along the seam, cutting to fully separate the two pieces. Do with all pitas and then stack a couple of havles and cut into triangles.
  3. Season Pita Triangles: Line the baking sheet with pita triangles in one layer. Brush with olive oil and then sprinkle with Italian seasoning and salt.
  4. Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes until pita chips are browned, rotating the pan halfway through.
  5. Serve with your favorite dip or salsa or on their own!
