Ingredients

  • 1 hoagie roll
  • 2 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill chopped
  • 1 tablespoon green onion sliced thin
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic  plus more to taste
  • 9 slices salami
  • 1 small tomato sliced
  • handful of arugula
  • kosher salt to taste (optional)
  • black pepper to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice the hoagie roll horizontally to open it up for layering the ingredients.
  2. Make the cream cheese spread by mixing the cream cheese with the dill, green onions, and garlic. Add more garlic if preferred.
  3. Spread the herb and garlic cream cheese evenly on both sides of the hoagie roll.
  4. Layer the salami slices on the bottom half of the roll. Fold them for added texture.
  5. Place the sliced tomato and arugula on top of the salami. Sprinkle on salt and pepper if desired.
  6. Close the sandwich with the top half of the hoagie roll. Slice in half and serve immediately.
